A kiosk above the beach is reported for drinks and snacks. It is not a row of beachfront shops; bring water before descending if it is closed.
From Kalamoti, head towards Pyrgi and follow the local signs for Vroulidia. Leave the car at the upper parking area; the final descent is on foot, with steps. Allow for the uphill return.
Pack light for the steps; take water and your own shade.
Google Maps opens for navigation. Check the named beach and park before the shore; directions do not confirm the last path is drivable. Seasonal services are not live opening information.

Kalamoti’s fertile surroundings, its place in the mastic landscape and its former administrative role help explain its importance within southern Chios. The official Chios guide connects the plain and nearby Apolichnon castle with Genoese defensive planning. Calling it a heart of the Mastichochoria describes these connections: fields, settlement and the organisation of a wider region.
